Why can't I receive Astro programmes when it rains?

Satellite services in high rainfall areas tend to be affected by rain or heavy clouds. Service should resume automatically when the rain clears.
If you experience this problem frequently or for prolonged periods, your dish may be misaligned. Re-alignment requires a site visit by an approved Astro technician. Please call our customer service line at 1 300 82 3838 for assistance.

Why do I get message "Service Currently Not Available" on my TV screen?

If the message, "Service currently not available" appears on the TV screen, please switch the Decoder power off for 15 seconds and then switch it on again. The service will resume with the selection of any channel once the front panel display shows the time.
This message may also appear during rainfall, in which case the service should resume automatically when the rain clears.

Why do I get message "This channel is not included in your subscription" on my TV screen when I turn to my favourite channel?

If you lose authorisation for services you are entitled to e.g. message appears as "This channel is not included in your subscription", Please call our customer service line at 1 300 82 3838 for assistance.

Why is there a variation of audio level between normal programmes and promotions/commercials?

We make every effort to ensure that the local promotion and commercials that air are at a comparable level to the programmes. We use sophisticated audio auto-levelling equipment to achieve this but occasionally variations do occur. However, we cannot control rapid variations in levels where the promotions originate from our programme suppliers themselves.

Why is there a variation of audio level between Astro channels?

We auto correct all Astro channels so that, as far as possible, the average level of audio between channels remain constant. However there may be instantaneous audio peaks that cannot be corrected immediately which can lead to occasional audio variations between channels.
