- How can I sign-up for Njoi?
You can purchase the Njoi service via the following options:
- Fill up the online form in the I Want Njoi page and a Sales Representative will contact you for the sign up.
- Visit the nearest Astro retailer.
- How much does the Njoi set-up cost?
The set-up, which comprises of a set-top box, Out-Door Unit (ODU) satellite dish, smartcard and remote control unit is available at a one-time payment of RM 288 at all Astro authorised retailers, with a standard installation fee of RM 100 from an Astro authorised installer.
- How many channels are offered in Njoi?
At launch, 18 TV and 19 radio channels will be available. These channels will comprise of various genres including education, information and entertainment in multi languages.

Currently, Astro First titles are only available for Astro pay-tv packages. You can subscribe to any of our Astro Pay-TV packages starting from RM 37.95 to enjoy the service.
- Is there a warranty for Njoi?
There will be a 12 month warranty for Njoi set-top box, satellite dish and remote control unit, subject to the standard terms and conditions. Installation works will carry a standard 6 month warranty.
- If I have a faulty remote control unit (post-warranty), where can I get a replacement unit?
You can walk into any of our customer service center and pay via credit card to obtain a new remote control unit on the spot.
For all other payment mechanisms, you will have to show proof of payment to obtain a new remote control unit. - Do I have to pay for installation?
Standard installation fee of RM 100 by an Astro authorized installer will apply.
- How long does it take to install my Njoi service?
Installation will take approximately 14 working days from the date of sign-up to fulfill. Our Astro authorized installer will contact you to make an appointment for installation at your premise.
- Do I have to be a current Astro subscriber to apply for Njoi services?
No, you do not. Njoi service is available to everyone. This is part of Astro’s aspiration to make information, education, entertainment, and sports available to all Malaysians.
- Can I subscribe to both Astro’s Pay-TV and Njoi service?
Yes, you may. As an existing Astro customer, you have the option of getting Njoi service on a separate account via the one-off payment of RM 288, with no monthly subscription. However, the monthly subscription to the packages under Astro’s Pay-TV service will still apply.
- Can I convert/transfer my existing Astro service to Njoi?
If you would like to transfer your existing Astro services to Njoi, a fee of RM 99 will apply and all outstanding balances and contract penalty charges (if any) would have to be settled prior to the transfer
- Can I upgrade my Njoi services to the normal Astro packages? Do I have to repurchase the box?
Yes you can. If you already own an Njoi HD decoder, there will be no upgrade fees applied for upgrades to Astro Pay-TV or B.yond packages. Standard fees will apply for PVR and Astro B.Yond IPTV packages.
If you do not own an Njoi HD decoder, you will need to apply for a fresh new application and standard entry fees will apply. Upon upgrade, all the terms & conditions of the relevant Astro packages will apply.
- I used to be an Astro customer and I still have the set-top box and the satellite dish. Can I still sign-up for Njoi?
Yes, however you would need to settle all your outstanding balances and contract penalty charges before switching to Njoi. Your set-top-box must also be in good working order.
- What happens if I have an advance payment on my Astro Pay TV account and I want to transfer my services to Njoi? Will I be eligible for any refunds?
Yes, the balance of your advance payment will be prorated and the conversion fee of RM 99 will be deducted from the amount. You can opt for a refund on the remaining balance or leave it in the account as a credit balance.
- I have an inactive Astro Pay TV account and I want to transfer it to Njoi. However, I do not have an existing decoder – what are my options?
You can subscribe to a new Njoi account and obtain a complete set-up of set-top box, Out-Door Unit (ODU) satellite dish, smartcard and remote control unit via a one-time payment of RM 288 at all Astro authorised retailers, with a standard installation fee of RM 100 from an Astro authorised installer.
- Will Media Prima channels be included into the channel lineup for Njoi?
Media Prima channels are not included in the lineup for Njoi at the moment.
