1. What is Astro Mobile TV?
Astro Mobile TV is your TV on your mobile phone which offers over 20 channels with genres ranging from news, entertainment, sports, music and cartoons.
2. How can I subscribe to Astro Mobile TV?
It is open to all Maxis & Hotlink customers with activated 3G phones which are compatible with our service. To access the service just send a SMS with the text AMTV to 26000 and a WAP link will be sent to your mobile.
3. How much will I be charged for Astro Mobile TV?
Each channel is priced at RM 1.50 for a weekly subscription and RM 5.00 for a monthly subscription. All subscriptions will be automatically renewed unless the channel is unsubscribed.
4. Am I able to access Astro Mobile TV if I do not have a 3G phone?
No.

6. Are these Mobile channels the same as what's on my Astro TV service?
Four of the Astro Mobile TV channels are Live meaning that what you'll see on your Astro service will be broadcasted directly to your mobile phone with a delay of a few seconds. These channels are:
a. CNN
b. Bloomberg News
c. History Channel
d. Hitz TV
7. What are Made for Mobile channels?
These channels consist of one to four hour videos loops made out of the best programming from that respective channel. These channels are refreshed either daily or weekly.
8. What is Video On Demand?
VOD, short for Video On Demand, provides you with video content in the form of short 3 to 5 minute clips. After subscribing to any of our mobile VOD channels you will also receive free SMS notifications letting you know when there are new clips available. These notifications will contain a WAP link that will bring you back to our portal where you can see a listing of all the latest clips and stream the videos when you want to.
9. Can I download or record Astro Mobile TV channels onto my mobile phone?
No. Videos from all channels will be streamed to your mobile phone in a Real Media or 3GP format, depending on your phone model.
10. Will I have to pay data charges for watching Astro Mobile TV?
No, there are no data charges for subscription and use of Astro Mobile TV. Data charges may apply if you’re roaming outside Malaysia.
11. Do I have to be a “Maxis 3G data package” subscriber to use Astro Mobile TV?
No. You do not need to be a “Maxis 3G data package” subscriber.
12. What is FreView?
FreView is a channel made free to all Maxis 3G subscribers. On this channel our host talks about all the hottest highlights on Astro Mobile TV along with video previews and trailers.
13. Is there a maximum number of channels I can subscribe to?
There is no limit to the number of channels you can subscribe to.
14. What will happen to my Base Pack and Variety Pack subscriptions once it’s no longer offered on the portal?
After August the 17th 2009 these packages are no longer available. However, if you are an existing subscriber of these packages your subscription will continue to be active and renewed at the same price until you choose to unsubscribe.
15. How do I unsubscribe a channel?

16. How do I unsubscribe a channel?
To unsubscribe, simply click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the Play List page and select the channel you wish to discontinue. After a channel is unsubscribed it will no longer be automatically renewed for you. However, you will still be able to enjoy that channel until the end date of your current Weekly or Monthly subscription.
17. Why is the iphone not supported?
Astro Mobile TV for the iPhone is currently in development.
