Astro Scores a Winner with Live Broadcast
Rights for Barclays Premier League in Malaysia for Next 3 seasons
14 November 2012, Kuala Lumpur - Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad (“AMH”), Malaysia’s leading integrated consumer media entertainment group, announced today that it has won the tender for broadcast rights to the Barclays Premier
League (BPL) in Malaysia for 3 seasons starting from season 2013/14 – 2015/2016. As a part of this arrangement, all 380 matches of BPL will be available to be shown live on the Astro service.

Since 1997, Astro has been showcasing BPL action as part of a comprehensive bouquet of football programming to the Malaysian football fans. Premier League Chief Executive, Richard Scudamore said: “We are extremely pleased Astro have chosen to invest in our broadcast rights for Seasons 2013/14 - 2015/16. They are a long term partner of the Premier League and renowned for quality sports broadcasting. We know that they will continue to broadcast the Barclays Premier League to Malaysian football fans in an exciting and innovative manner.”
