Terms & Conditions

Eligibility & Contest Period

The "Hua Hee Together Online Tongue Twister Challenge" contest shall be held from 21 June 2008 to 20 September 2008 ("Contest Period") and is open to all Malaysian. ("Contestant")
Employees of Astro All Asia Networks plc, Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn. Bhd. and its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Astro"), sponsors, agencies, dealers, retailers and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
Contestants under the age of eighteen (18) must seek parental and/or guardian approval before participating in the Contest. Astro considers it the responsibility of parents and/or guardian to monitor their children's participation in this Contest.
Astro may at its sole and absolute discretion extend the Contest Period at any time without giving any prior notice. Your participation in the Contest during the extended period shall be governed by this Contest's Terms and Conditions.

Contest Mechanics

Contestants are required to recite the given Hokkien Tongue Twister paragraph and record their recital in video format, e.g.: WMV, 3GP, AVI, MPEG or MOV, in a duration that is no longer than 1 minute.
There will be 1 set of Hokkien Tongue Twister paragraph uploaded on HHT website at www.astro.com.my/HHT every week from 21 June 2008.
There will be 13 sets of Hokkien Tongue Twister paragraphs during the Contest Period.
To enter the Contest the Contestant will have to adhere with the following steps:
1. Step 1: To request for Tongue Twister paragraph. Contestants will have to log on to HHT website (www.astro.com.my/HHT) to get the Hokkien Tongue Twister paragraph of the week.
2. Step 2: To send in entries. Contestants will have to record their recital in video format, e.g.: WMV, 3GP, AVI, MPEG or MOV, in a duration that is no longer than 1 minute. All entries must be sent as a file attachment via email to huahee2gether@gmail.com.
Only the most creative entries will be selected to be uploaded on the HHT website at www.astro.com.my/HHT or Astro Broadband Site at video.astro.com.my.

Contest Entries

Contestants must submit their contest entries via email to: huahee2gether@gmail.com
All Contest entries must reach Astro on or before 23:59 hours on 20 September 2008.
Contestants are required to provide the following details with their Contest entries:

Full Name (as in NRIC);
NRIC number (new);
Contact number (s): Home, Office, Mobile Phone (at least one contact number must be furnished);
Email address

Contestant's shall bear its' own Internet Service Provider (ISP) charges and all other related costs in submitting the Contest entries to Astro.
Contestants must ensure that their names and Contest details are complete and accurate. Incomplete, illegible or late entries shall be disqualified.
Astro reserves the right to reject any entry at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever.
All Contest entries must be submitted in Hokkien. Contest entries in any other languages will be rejected by Astro.

Number of Entries

Contestants may send in as many entries as they wish.
Each entry shall attach with one (1) video clip only. Multiple Contest entries with same video clip attached will not be accepted. If there are multiple Contest entries, the first entry received will be treated as the valid Contest's entry.

Adherance to Contest Ts & Cs

All Contestants shall be required to adhere to this Contest's Terms and Conditions. Astro reserves the right to forfeit the prize(s) in the event any of the Contest Terms and Conditions are not adhered to.

Judges Decision is Final

The Judge's decision is final and binding. No correspondence shall be entertained.

Notification of Contest Results

The Contest's winners will be notified by telephone call.
Contest winners will be required to give their contact details, I.C No., Astro account number and any other details deemed necessary and relevant by Astro, at its sole discretion, upon receiving the request/notification from Astro.
Proof of mailing, or delivering (in any manner whatsoever) any details to Astro does not denote proof that Astro has received such details.
Astro reserves the right to forfeit prizes for any Contest winner who does not provide the required details upon receiving the request/notification from Astro.
Astro reserves the right to appoint a third party to conduct the verification of Contest winners and to fulfill the delivery of prizes and Contestants agree that Astro may provide all necessary information of Contest winners to such third party to facilitate such service.

Prizes

Two (2) Contest winners each week will be selected. Contestant who managed to recite the Hokkien Tongue Twister in the fastest time with the most accurate pronunciation and shows creativity will be selected as winners.
Each winner will be entitled to exclusive Hua Hee Together merchandise (T-Shirt & Tote Bag).
The Contest winner shall be entitled to one (1) prize only. The prize is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash for whatever reason.
Notwithstanding the above, Astro reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to vary the prize with others of equal value, without assigning any reason or giving prior notification.
The Contest winner shall be responsible for all costs in connections with perfecting his/her prize, including but not limited to legal cost, stamp duties, registration and transfer fees, taxes, insurance, spending money and related expenses (such as meals or personal expenses, upgrades etc.) or fees.
Astro makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prize and shall not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage thereto or arising therefrom.
Prizes must be claimed in person unless Astro advices otherwise. Identification (such as identification card/drivers license/passport which displays a photograph of the Contest winner) will be required. Where Astro elects to post a prize to a Contest winner no responsibility will be accepted by Astro for the safe and effective postal delivery of the prize.
In special situations, and subject to the absolute discretion of Astro, a Contest winner may nominate a designated representative to collect a prize. The representative will be required to present written authorisation from the Contest winner.
In the event that a Contest winner chooses not to accept a prize, they forfeit any and all claims to that prize, which will be dealt with according to the absolute discretion of Astro.
The contest winner(s) of any prize(s) may at the absolute discretion of Astro be required to execute a deed of release and indemnity in a form prescribed by Astro in order to receive the prize.

Publicity

Astro reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use the names, photographs, voice of the Contest winner(s) and entries of the Contest winner(s) without obtaining any consent from the Contest winner(s) or any payment whatsoever to the Contest winner(s) for publicity, advertising, trade or promotion purposes in any media.

Prize Giving Ceremony (if any)

The winner is required to attend, at own cost and expense, a prize presentation ceremony to collect the prize. In the event, the winner is not able to attend the prize presentation ceremony, the winner must nominate a representative to be present at the prize presentation ceremony to accept the prize on his/her behalf. Astro reserves the right to use the winners or representatives' names/photographs for the purpose of advertising, trade or promotion at its sole and absolute discretion.

Variation to the Ts & Cs

Astro reserves the rights to change, amend, delete or add to this Terms and Conditions of this Contest without prior notice at any time and the Contestants shall be bound to such changes.

Disclaimer

Astro shall not be responsible or liable for any costs, problems, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to the Contestants/winners resulting from their participation in the Contest/use of the prize.
The winner undertakes and agrees to indemnify Astro on a full indemnity basis with respect to any claim, suit, or proceeding of whatsoever nature brought by any of the winner beneficiaries and/or third party(s) in respect of the acceptance and/or use of the prize.

Liability

Astro will not be responsible or liable for:

any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any delay and/or failure in receiving and submitting the Contest entries on the Astro website as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure experienced by the participating Internet Service Providers (ISP), mobile phone operators and/or by Astro and/or resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Contest. In the event of such error, interruption and/or failure, Astro shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any Contestant to participate in the Contest at any time.

any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any Contestant, or their authorised representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest.

any error (including error in notification of Contest winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.

any changes made by the organizers or sponsors or the Contest.

Disqualification

Astro reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it determines is tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest and/or to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Contest Terms and Conditions and/or the Astro Website Use and Access Agreement. No correspondence shall be entertained.

Suspension

Astro further reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
