- The Voting Mechanics and
Eligibility
- The Legend
Contest (Contest) shall be
held from 30/06/2008 to 31/08/2008
(“Contest Period”)
and will close at the end of the Contest
Period or such other time that Astro
shall decide from time to time. Entries
received after the stipulated time
will be ineligible for the prize.
- The five participating platforms
for the Contest are Astro AEC “Enews”,
Astro Wah Lai Toi “U r Onair”,
MYFM, Yeah! Magazine and Capital FM.
- All Contestants shall be required
to adhere to the Contest’s Terms
and Conditions stated by the respective
participating platforms of which the
Contestants participate in, as well
as the Terms & Conditions as stated
herein. Astro reserves the right to
forfeit the prize(s) in the event
any of the Contest Terms and Conditions
are not adhered to.
- The Contestant must be a Malaysian
citizen.
- Contestants must have a valid
passport with at least 6 months
before the expiry date as at 30/10/2008.
- The Contestant can send in as many
entries as they wish.
- The Judge’s decision is final
and binding. No correspondence shall
be entertained.
- Notwithstanding the above, Astro
reserves the right at its sole and
absolute discretion to vary the prize
with others of equal value, without
assigning any reason or giving prior
notification.
- Each Contest winner shall be entitled
to one (1) prize only. The prize is
not exchangeable, transferable or
redeemable for cash for whatever reason.
- Astro makes no warranties or representations
whatsoever with respect to the gift
and shall not be responsible nor liable
for any problems and/or damage thereto
or arising therefrom.
- The Contest winner shall collect
the prize.
- All ancillary costs not listed,
as part of the prize shall be the
responsibility of the Contest winner.
- The winner is required to attend
at own cost and expense a prize presentation
ceremony to collect the prize. In
the event, the winner is not able
to attend the prize presentation ceremony;
the winner must nominate a representative
to be present at the prize presentation
ceremony to accept the prize on his/her
behalf. Astro reserves the right to
use the winners or representatives’
names/photographs for the purpose
of advertising, trade or promotion
at its sole and absolute discretion.
Standard Terms and
Conditions
- Contest Entries
- The Contestant must ensure that
their entries are complete and accurate.
Incomplete, illegible or late entries
shall be disqualified.
- Astro reserves the right to reject
any registration and/or entry at
its sole and absolute discretion
without having to assign any reasons
whatsoever.
- All entries must be submitted
in the language specified. Entries
in any other languages will be rejected
by Astro.
- Employees of ASTRO ALL ASIA NETWORKS
plc (“Astro”) and Multimedia
Entertainment Sdn. Bhd. (“Multimedia”)
including its subsidiaries and affiliates,
sponsors, agencies, dealers, retailers
and their immediate family members
are not eligible to participate
in this Contest.
- Contestants under the age of eighteen
(18) must seek parental and/or guardian
approval before participating in
the Contest. Astro considers it
the responsibility of parents and/or
guardian to monitor their children’s
participation in this Contest.
- Where applicable, Contestants
must obtain consent from the bill
payers before participating in the
Contest. Payment shall be made irrespective
of whether such charges were authorized
by the bill payer. For the purposes
herein the term "bill payer"
shall mean the individual, company
or entity specified in the
registration or subscription form
whose application for the relevant
service has been approved and accepted
by the service provider.
- Proof of Receipt
- Proof of entry sent by a Contestant
does not denote proof that the entry
was received by Astro or the participating
platforms.
- Publicity
- Astro reserves the right, at its
sole and absolute discretion, to use
the nicknames, names, photographs,
voice or video recordings and entries
of the Contest winner(s) and/or representatives
without first obtaining any consent
nor making any payment whatsoever
to the Contest winner(s) and/or representatives
for publicity, advertising, trade
or promotion purposes in any media.
- Adherence to Contest Terms
& Conditions
- All Contestants shall be required
to adhere to the Contest Terms and
Conditions and the Astro Website
Terms of Use and Notices including
any changes made thereto. Astro
reserves the right to forfeit the
prize(s) in the event any of the
Contest Terms and Conditions and/or
the Astro Website Terms of Use and
Notices are not adhered to.
- Variation to the Terms
& Conditions
- Astro reserves the right to change,
amend, delete or add to these Contest
Terms and Conditions without prior
notice at any time and the Contestants
shall be bound to such changes.
- Liability
Astro will not be responsible
or liable for:
- any problem, loss or damage of
whatsoever nature suffered by any
party due to any delay and/or failure
in receiving and sending an entry
as a result of any network, communication
or system error, interruption and/or
failure experienced by the participating
telecommunication/internet service
provider and/or by Astro and/or
resulting from participation or
the downloading of any materials
in the Contest. In the event of
such error, interruption and/or
failure, Astro shall not be responsible
or liable for any failure by any
Contestant to participate in the
Contest at any time.
- any problem, damage or loss of
whatsoever nature to any Contestant,
or their authorized representatives
resulting from their participation
in the Contest.
- any error (including error in
notification of Contest winners),
omission, interruption, deletion,
defect, delay in operation or transmission,
communications line failure, theft,
destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized
access to entries, or entries lost
or delayed whether or not arising
during operation or transmission
as a result of server functions,
virus, bugs or other causes outside
its control nor for any problems,
damage or loss of whatsoever nature
to the Contestants/winners resulting
from their participation in the
Contest/use of the prize.
- Disclaimer
- The winner undertakes and agrees
to indemnify Astro on a full indemnity
basis with respect to any claim,
suit, or proceeding of whatsoever
nature brought by any of the winner
beneficiaries and/or third party(s)
in respect of the acceptance and/or
use of the prize
- Disqualification
- Astro reserves the right at its
sole discretion to disqualify any
individual that it determines to
be tampering with the entry process
or the operation of the Voting,
to be acting in breach or potential
breach of these Voting Terms and
Conditions and/or the Astro Website
Terms of Use and Notices. No correspondence
shall be entertained.
- Suspension
- Astro further reserves the right
to cancel, modify, suspend or delay
the Contestant for any reason whatsoever.
